Halloween Fun and Party in the Park

The Dawgs and people of the Squad have had lots of fun together over the past two weeks!

First, we participated in a Halloween costume party at Unleashed by Petco –congratulations to Kay Bug for winning 2nd Place! But she will always be 1st place in our hearts!

Then Sunday we participated in A Second Chance Pet Adoption and Pet Fair at Good Neighbor Park in Long Beach.

It was a beautiful warm day and the Dawgs had a great time playing and rolling around on the grass! Bubbles had an especially great time at both events. It is such a joy to watch her jump and play with all the other dogs!

We really can’t understand why she hasn’t found her forever home yet–she is such a good girl and would make a great companion for an active family, especially if they have a large male dog she can play with!

In fact, we have several larger dogs that would be great for active families with other dogs!

Both Tucson and Gypsy are only about a year old and both have some puppy-like energy still in them.

Gypsy is a terrier mix that loves people, dogs, and cats!

Tucson is a black lab that seems to like larger female dogs but I don’t think he would appreciate cats! Bubbles and Tucson had an especially great time together!

Finally, we welcomed Pookie, a friendly little chihuahua mix that one of our volunteers found wandering the streets. Pookie is about a year old and plays nicely in her foster home with Gypsy and several cats!

Hope to see you Saturday for adoptions at Unleased by Petco. Come by, meet our dawgs and play for awhile! We’ll be there from about 10:30 – 2:30.
