Before we celebrate a New Year, we would like to take an opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your continued support.

This year, despite continued tough economic conditions, we are pleased to have found 59 fabulous, deserving dogs loving, safe homes.

That may not seem like many considering the numbers of homeless dogs in the Los Angeles area; but it sure means a lot to dogs like Betty, our older, gentle Bulldog who was dumped in the county shelter when her people decided she was too old to continue to breed;

Huru, our proud Rottweiler who came from unspeakable conditions;   Huru

Ivy, our feisty but loyal little Chihuahua mix—it took over a year to find her a home!

And, we can’t forget about Caramel, our small Spaniel puppy, now known as Clover, who was either born with, or somehow had lost the use of one of her legs and needed surgery.

So thank you to all our volunteers, especially Patrick, Darrell, and Elizabeth, that manage to show up each and every Saturday to set up crates, clean up messes, give our dogs lots of love and socialization and go for walks whatever the weather outside!

Thanks to Matt, Jean C, Winnie, Patti, Max, Lexi, Melissa, Erin and Nicole for coming when you can despite your tremendously busy lives!

Thanks to all of our student volunteers–it’s great to have young people like yourselves get involved in rescue!

Thanks to our fosters, Geoff, Lauren, and Brian, for providing such loving temporary home!.

Thanks to Cindy for your sharing your creativity!

Thanks to Ber Mar Pet Hospital for taking such good care of our dogs, and to Amy for providing walks and love to our boarded dogs during the week!

Thanks to Unleashed by Petco for providing us such a welcoming enivornment for adoptions!

And thanks to Lara, Velvet, Jean and Vince, for, well, just about everything!

And most of all, thanks to our donors! It takes lots of money to provide food, shelter, and veterinary care–you have really come through when we’ve needed it most!

Because of you, we are able to continue to serve our mission—to save one dog at a time. Betty, Huru, Ivy, Clover, and the rest of the dogs and people of Dawg Squad would like to wish you and yours a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!
